Join Indian Navy Recruitment: Detailed Eligibility

SSC Officers (Logistics):

  • BE/ B.Tech in any discipline with First Class or
  • MBA with First Class or
  • B.Sc / B.Com / B.Sc (IT) with first class with a PG Diploma in Finance /Logistics / Supply Chain 60% Management / Material Management or
  • MCA / M.Sc (IT) with First Class or
  • B.Architecture with First Class.

SSC Officers (IT):

  • BE/B.Tech (Computer Science / Computer Engg/ IT) or M.Tech (Computer Science) or
  • M.Sc (Computer / IT) or B.Sc (IT) or BCA / MCA

SSC Officers (Law): Law Degree in Law qualifying for enrollment as Advocate.

Physical Standards:

  • Minimum height (Male) 157 cms.
  • Minimum height (Female) 152 cms.
  • Correlated weight as per height and age.

Age limit:

  • SSC Officers (Logistics): Born between 02 Jul 1994 & 01 Jan 2000; both dates inclusive
  • SSC Officers (Law): Born between 02 Jul 1994 and 01 Jan 2000; both dates inclusive
  • SSC Officers (IT): Born between 02 Jul 1992 and 01 Jul 1997; both dates inclusive

Join Indian Navy Recruitment Selection process:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interviews based on percentage of marks obtained in Educational Qualification.
  • The total duration of SSB interviews is five days consisting of stage I (Day one) and stage II (Four days).
  • Stage I Tests – consist of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Group Discussion Tests. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be sent back on the same day from SSB Centre.
  • Stage II Tests consists of Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview.
  • Successful candidates will undergo medical examination (approx 3-5 days).
  • Candidates of Pilot entry are required to undergo PABT (Pilot aptitude battery test) followed by Aviation medical examination.
  • Candidates of Observer entry are also required to undergo Aviation medical examination

SSB Interview Centre: Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam/Kolkata.

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Std 10 passed with a minimum of 50% marks in Std 10 examination along with ITI examination passed (Provisional National Trade Certificate) in relevant trade with an aggregate of 65% marks.
  • Further, the candidate should have passed relevant ITI / trade test from any institute
    recognized by NCVT and should possess the qualification.

Note: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under Apprentice Act – 1961 are not eligible to apply.

Minimum Physical Standards:

  • Height – 150 cms
  • Weight – not less than 45 Kgs
  • Chest – expansion not less than 5 cms

Age limit: Born between 01 April 1997 to 31 Mar 2004.

Relaxations in upper age limit:

  • 05 years for SC/ST candidates
  • 02 years for Wards of Defence employees or Naval civilians.

  • The selection process will be based on the written examination, Interview/Skill Test.

    Reasoning.
  • Part-B – Questions on the group of subject trades.
  • The question paper will be bilingual in both English & Hindi (except for General English).
