Assam Police Recruitment 2018 notification for 490 vacancies of Sub Inspector of Police (Un-armed Branch) & 130 vacancies of Constables (Executive). The detailed eligibility and application process are given below.

Detailed Eligibility:
Educational Qualification: A graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College / Institutions affiliated to a recognized University.
Note – The candidates who applied earlier need not to apply again (Advertisement dated on 11.04.2018).
Physical Standards:
- Male – Height (Minimum): 162.56 cms
- Female – Height (Minimum): 154.94 cms
- Chest (Only for men) – Min. 80 cms Normal & 85 cms when expanded
Age limit:
- For General Candidates: Born Between 01-01-1194 to 01-08-19998
- For OBC & BC Candidates: Born Between 01-01-1991 to 01-09-1998
- For SC/ST Candidates: Born Between 01-01-1989 to 01-08-1998

Assam Police Recruitment SI Selection process:
The selection process will be based on Written Test, PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Efficiency Test) and Medical Examination.
Scheme of Written Test:
- The written test will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR based.
- There will be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark. There will be negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer.
- The questions will be set in three parts (i) Logical reasoning, aptitude, comprehension (ii) Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam and India (iii) General Knowledge.
- Duration of the test will be of 3 (three) hours
The Final Merit List will be prepared with the following criteria:

| Computer Proficiency | 15% – 30 marks |
| Physical Efficiency Test (PET) | 20% – 40 marks |

Assam Police Recruitment Constable Selection process:
The selection process will be based on Physical Endurance Tests (Qualifying), Physical Measurement Tests, Written Test and Medical Examination.
Scheme of Written Test:
- Written Test will be of 90 minutes duration and will comprise of 100 objective type questions on Reasoning, General Knowledge/Current Affairs and Numerical Ability.
- The question paper will be Bilingual (English and Hindi).
