Join Indian Navy Recruitment Selection process:

• Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Computer-based Examination, qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in Medical Examinations.
• Results of the Written Test will be announced on the same day and those who qualify written test will undergo PFT and Initial Medical Examination, which may take 1-2 days.

Written Examination:

• The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
• The question paper will comprise of two sections i.e. Science & Mathematics and General
  Knowledge.
• Duration of examination will be 30 minutes.
• The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

• Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection.
• PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

Written Examination:

• The question paper will be computer-based with a total of 100 questions, each carrying 01 mark.
• The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type (multiple-choice).
• The question paper will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
• The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2 and the syllabus for the examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
• For wrong answer 0.25 marks deducted as penalty.
• Duration of examination will be one hour.
• The candidates are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM-Passing in each subject mandatory) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Who can Apply: Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) -2018 (for B.E./B.Tech) exam. Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) – 2018 All India Rank.

Physical Standards: Minimum height – 157 cms with correlated weight as per age.

Age: Born between 02 Jul 1999 and 01 Jan 2002 (both dates inclusive).

Training:

• Candidates will be selected for training in Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, Kerala, based on All India Merit and number of vacancies.
• Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four year B. Tech Course in applied Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Executive Branch), Mechanical Engineering (for Engineering Branch including Naval Architect specialisation) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electrical Branch) as per Naval requirements.
• On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
